REFLECTIONS
Creative support for a school project.
Reflections School wanted my support to assist with a children's creative project. The child led project was called 'Save the World' and the children wanted to put their drawings and messages out into the community. Through contacting the local council I was able to support the children in getting their artwork onto local bins.
Design Process
Through collaborating with the children I was able to take their ideas and drawings as the inspiration. The children were aged between 5 and 8 years old and were excited by the idea that their drawings would be on display with their local community.
By using the children's own drawings of their own self portraits I was able to displace the children's identity into the public eye without it being a photograph or recongisable. The school wanted to make sure it was not only allowing the children's voices to be heard, but also acted as an advertisement for the school itself.
